Principal's Message

Ms. Lesley Garza
Dwight Middle School Principal
I am honored and excited to serve as the principal of Dwight Middle School. I bring 17 years of experience in public education and have had the privilege of serving bilingual communities throughout my career while advocating for multilingual learners and fostering strong partnerships with their families.
I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M International University and my Master of Education in Administration degree from Lamar University. I began my educational career as a dual language teacher and have since served as a bilingual coach, assistant principal, and principal. Most recently, I served as principal of Regency Place Elementary School and Alternative Elementary School. Prior to that, I served as assistant principal at Roan Forest Elementary School.
As a bilingual and bicultural educator, I deeply value the diverse experiences, cultures, and perspectives that students and families bring to our schools. I look forward to getting to know our students, staff, and families and building meaningful relationships throughout the Dwight Middle School community. I believe strong partnerships are the foundation of a successful school, and I welcome opportunities to listen, learn, and work alongside our community.
